Munnar is in the southwestern of Kerala and is known for its tea plantations. It is really exciting to see how many diligent women harvest the tea leaves with their scissors and then transport them on their heads.
Munnar ist im Südwesten von Kerala und ist bekannt für seine Teeplantagen. Es ist wirklich spannend zu beobachten, wie die vielen fleißigen Frauen mit ihren Scheren die Teeblätter ernten, und diese dann auf dem Kopf transportieren.
I can definitely recommend trekking through the tea plantations and climbing up to Anamudi Mountain. He is the highest peak in South India. It is not far from Munnar and is located in the Eravikulam National Park and the view is incredible!
Ich kann auf jeden Fall empfehlen, eine Trekking Tour durch die Teeplantagen zu machen und bis auf den Anamudi Berg zu steigen. Er ist der höchste Gipfel in Südindien. Er liegt nicht weit von Munnar im Eravikulam National Park und die Aussicht ist unglaublich!
If you are in the south of India, I would definitely go on a backwaters tour. You can do this in several ways, one way is to take small boats, so that you’re able to get through the small passages, as you can see in the pictures below.
Wenn ihr im Süden in Indien seid, würde ich auf jeden Fall eine Tour durch die Backwaters machen. Ihr könnt dies auf mehrere Arten machen, beispielsweise mit kleinen Booten, so dass ihr auch durch die kleinen Kanäle kommt, wie auf den kommenden Bildern zu sehen ist.
Or you book a tour (preferably with several people) with a larger boat. On board is a cook who prepares delicious food for lunch and dinner. In the evening the boat will dock on a bank and you will have the opportunity to explore the village closed by.
Oder ihr bucht eine Tour (am besten mit mehreren Leuten) mit einem größeren Boot. An Bord ist dann auch ein Koch, der zum Mittag und Abend leckeres Essenzubereitet. Abends legt dann das Boot an einem Ufer an, und man hat Gelegenheit, die Ortschaft zu erkunden.

Fort Kochi – is a district of Kochi in Kerala and is also called Old Kochi. I found this district incredibly exciting! Especially sitting at the harbor in the evening and watch the fishermen catching their fish with these 700-year-old Chinese fishing nets.
Fort Kochi – ist ein Stadtteil von Kochi in Kerala und wird auch Old Kochi genannt. Ich fand diesen Stadtteil unglaublich spannend! Besonders Abends am Hafen zu sitzen, und die Fischer dabei zu beobachten, wie sie mit ihren 700 Jahre alten chinesischen Fischernetzen ihre Fische fangen.
Close to the town Thekaddy lies the Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. My friends and I went on a trekking tour, which was also very exciting, but unfortunately we didn’t see that much, except for a few monkeys. Nevertheless, it is always nice to explore nature.
In der Nähe der Stadt Thekaddy befindet sich der Periyar National Park and Wildlife Sanctuary. Dort machten meine Freunde und ich eine Trekking Tour, die auch ganz spannend war, aber leider sahen wir nicht allzu viel, bis auf ein paar wenige Affen. Trotzdem ist es immer schön, die Natur zu erkunden.

This guy rolls hundreds of Bidis per day. A thin cigarette filled with tobacco flake and wrapped in a tendu, a leaf from the tendutree. It took me ages to roll even one!
Dieser Mann rollt Hunderte von Bidis pro Tag. Eine dünne Zigarette mit Tabakflocken gefüllt und in eine Tendu gewickelt, ein Blatt vom Tendubaum. Es hat Ewigkeiten gedauert, bis ich auch nur eine gedreht hatte!
