Puerto Galera is a municipality in the northwest of the philippine province of Oriental Mindoro on the island of Mindoro. It’s proximity to Manila makes it a popular tourist destination.

I took the bus from Manila to Batangas Pier. From there you can go to the docking places Saban, Puerto Galera or White Beach.
Ich bin von Manila aus mit dem Bus zum Batangas Pier gefahren. Von dort aus kann man zu den Anlegestellen Saban, Puerto Galera oder White Beach gelangen.
You can rent scooters in Puerto Galera to easily explore the area. Especially beautiful are the White Beach, Aninuan Beach and Talipanan Beach, which are not far from each other.
Man kann sich in Puerto Galera auch Roller mieten und somit die Umgebung erkunden. Besonders schön sind der White Beach, Aninuan Beach und Talipanan Beach, die alle nicht weit voneinander entfernt liegen.
The Tamaraw Waterfall – It was nice, but I have to say that I had hoped for more. If you’re on the road, you can go and check it out, but do not expect too much.
Der Tamaraw Wasserfall – Er war ganz schön aber ich muss wirklich sagen, dass ich mir mehr erhofft hatte. Wenn man unterwegs ist, kann man dort ruhig mal vorbei schauen, aber nicht zu viel erwarten.
I also visited the Aninuan waterfall and I have to say that I was a little bit disappointed as well when I arrived. I just imagined it to be much bigger. However, the hike there was a lot of fun. A friend and I went by scooter to the closest street and hiked through the nature. Normally you should take a guide at this point and the people you meet before will tell you that you absolutely have to take one. Well, I say no. But only if you use the Maps.me app and downloaded the map for Puerto Galera offline. Then you can find the way easily even without a guide and make your own way up to the waterfall, which was really exciting!
Ich besuchte ebenfalls den Aninuan Wasserfall und ich muss auch hier sagen, dass ich etwas enttäuscht war, als ich ankam. Ich hatte ihn mir einfach viel größer vorgestellt. Allerdings hat die Wanderung dorthin viel Spaß gemacht. Eine Freundin und ich sind mit dem Roller an die nah gelegenste Straße gefahren und von dort aus durch die Natur gewandert. Normalerweise sollte man an dieser Stelle einen Guide nehmen und Menschen, die ihr antrefft, werden euch auch sagen, dass ihr unbedingt einen nehmen müsst. Naja, ich sage nein. Aber nur, wenn ihr die App Maps.me benutzt und die Karte für Puerto Galera offline heruntergeladen habt. Dann kann man den Weg auch ohne Guide super finden und sich alleine auf den Weg machen, was wirklich aufregend war!
Another thing you can do in Puerto Galera is a trip with the ZipLine. You have to drive to Ponderosa because there is the ZipLine facility. Once you have paid and the staff put on your strap, they drive you up a bumpy road by car and then you’ll experience an absolute thrill on a 610-meter cable car from Ponderosa to Green Mountain. You fly above the jungle and can experience an incredible view. I had my GoPro with me and was able to film the whole trip.
Eine weitere Sache, die man auf Puerto Galera unternehmen kann ist, eine Fahrt mit der ZipLine. Man fährt bis nach Ponderosa, denn dort befindet sich die ZipLine Anlage. Hat man bezahlt und seinen Gurt, wird man mit dem Auto einen holprigen Weg hochgefahren und kann dann einen absoluten Nervenkitzel auf einer 610 Meter langen Seilbahn von Ponderosa nach Green Mountain erleben. Man fliegt über den Dschungel und kann eine unglaubliche Aussicht erleben. Ich hatte meine GoPro dabei und konnte so die ganze Fahrt filmen.
